Ireland could have its second biggest lottery winner tonight as the jackpot will be worth an estimated €17m.
The whopping €17m figure comes as there has been no winner since June and although there has been multiple rollovers since then there will not be many more to come as the jackpot is set to reach its cap.
Given that it’s somewhat of a rarity for the Irish Lotto, Lottery chief’s say the jackpot will not be topped up once it has reached its peak at €18.96m the highest ever total paid out back 2008.
Lottery chief’s say money which is normally to raise the jackpot will be distributed to the lower tiers of prizes.
