Independent Deputy, Mattie McGrath answered questions about his Covid-19 status by saying “My Body, My Choice” reports the Sun and the mainstream media have been triggered.
This week, during the debate on Vax Passports, Mattie McGrath was hounded by leader of Fianna Fail, Michael Martin about Deputy McGraths accusations that the FF-FG-Green coalition government were behaving like Nazi Germany.
Michael Martin specifically mentioned “the holocaust” saying to deputy McGrath “do you understand what the holocaust was about?” At this stage Deputy McGrath rose to his feet in anger, saying “words have been put into my mouth, I never mentioned that word”. He then requested an apology from Michael Martin and asked for the Dail record to be corrected.
The media have been reporting on Auschwitz Memorial social media accounts criticising the TD’s comments and suggesting he should take a course on the history of the Holocaust.
