It may be only November but it is certainly feeling a lot like winter with the cold snap hitting hard, and with every cold spell many predict snow and according to the national forecaster Met Eireann the white stuff could very well hit Ireland this weekend.
Met Eireann say tonight and tomorrow will remain relatively cold with frost expected overnight, as temperatures will drop to a 1C in places.
Meanwhile tomorrow will see thundery showers in the north and west early on, and become more widespread as the day goes on, with Temperatures ranging between 8C and 10C, but it could feel cooler in the gusty north west wind.
However the weekend will see a change, as Saturday and Sunday will be mostly dry and we may even see some sun, although the “odd wintry shower” is expected both Sunday and Monday,
A leading forecaster said: “It’ll stay cold well into next week, with further frosts and perhaps the odd wintry shower this Sunday into Monday. “Overall a lot of dry weather though, with bright spells of sunshine in mostly moderate northerly breezes.”
