The perpetually triggered leftist, politically correct mob are now taking offense on behalf of Irish and their new target is the “Fighting Irish” symbol which shows a Leprechaun with raised fists and has most famously been used as the emblem of Notre Dame university.

A survey by Quality Logo Products, a sports apparel company, listed Notre Dame’s Fighting Irish leprechaun as the fourth-most offensive college football team mascot in the nation, according to results published in the Indianapolis Star.

The Mascot has led to the University being accused of “cultural appropriation” but the University adopted the symbol as their mascot in 1927 under the direction of its then president Father Matthew Walsh, who was of Irish descent.

Originally the “Fighting Irish” was used as a derogatory reference to the University’s student body and sports teams as at the turn of the 20th century the majority were Irish Catholic.
