“It’s unworkable, we won’t discriminate against unvaccinated” – Many hospitality workers say they won’t enforce or police vaccine proof

It’s one of if not the dumbest idea that the government and Tony Holohan have come up with so far since the pandemic began.

Their idea of checking whether people have been double vaccinated to eat indoors is laughable compared to the fact that Northern Ireland has full indoor dining with absolutely no checks at the doors.

Meanwhile in the Republic, many hospitality workers say that it’s absolutely impossible to work such a ludicrous idea and that they’re not going to participate in the scheme.

One Dublin hospitality worker told The Liberal:
“Let’s face it, it’s not a solution, it’s not going to work. We’ve decided already that we’re not going to enforce it and we’re not going to police it. It’s none of our business if people have been vaccinated or not and we’re not going to discriminate against people who haven’t been vaccinated”.
