Social media users have reacted very badly to the fact that every Minister in the government is be given their own brand new car and accompanied garda chauffeur. Some are saying that it should be enough for the government to stand down over.
In what can only be described as truly disgraceful, Micheal Martin has defended the decision to give every Minister in government their own car and their own garda to chauffeur them around the place.
In the depths of a cost of living crisis, the Taoiseach said that Ministers need protection from assaults and abuse and that these measures will assist in that protection.
He doesn’t mention the fact that every Minister will be given a swanky new car for their troubles, all on the back of the hardworking Irish taxpayer.
