Friday’s covid daily case numbers are said to be very concerning to officials in the department who are closely monitoring how the situation is developing.
The Department of Health has announced a further 2,202 new cases of Covid-19 over the past 24 hours.
In an announcement the Department confirmed that a total of 354 people are in hospital .
They also say there are 73 people in ICU with the virus.
