Japan has issued a tsunami warning following a 7.2-magnitude quake that hit just off the east coast earlier today.
The quake, whose epicenter was pinpointed at 21 miles east of the city of Ishinomaki, was felt as far as Tokyo, 250 miles away.
People have been advised to stay away from any coastal areas until the danger has passed.
