
The former Tanaiste and head of the Labour party, Joan Burton said that she wasn’t relaxed and just casually reading a newspaper when she was allegedly imprisoned in her car.
Burton was in court today discussing the incident which happened during the water protests in 2014.
According to RTE, she denied looking relaxed while reading a newspaper when she was allegedly falsely imprisoned in her car.
Burton was being cross examined the State broadcaster reports in a trial of a TD and six other men who are charged with falsely imprisoning her and her adviser Karen O’Connell at a water charges protest near Jobstown in November 2014.
