Irish actor and traveller John Connors leads a team of other Travellers on a brand new research project in a new series called John Connors: The Travellers. The three-part series shines new light on the story of Ireland’s Travelling People and it’s something that’s particularly important to Connors.
The 26-yr-old Love/Hate star has consistently said that there’s a plight in society where travellers are still discrimiated against, similar to that of the Oboriginal people in Australia. He claims that there’s a shame attached to being a traveller and he aims to shift that notion from on a national level.
The next episode airs on Wednesday on RTE 1.
