John Gilligan lost his case in the Supreme Court this morning.
The 64-yr-old had taken a case against the Criminal Assets Bureau (CAB) for ceasing properties he owned in 1996.
He claimed the properties were not acquired by money made from crime, but were legitimately bought.
However the Supreme Court did not overturn the decision and said that it was dealt with in 2008 nd that Gilligan’s properties were now part of CAB.
