Police are warning parents to be extra vigilant after a 16-yr-old girl was approached on Bushmills’ Priestland Road Bushmills on Monday in an attempted abduction.

The Coleraine Times news site resorted that at 1.30pm on Monday, a man driving a dark blue saloon car and a female in the passenger seat encouraged the girl to get into the vehicle.

The girl declined and ran off immediately ringing her father.

Constable Mitchell of Coleraine Local Policing Team warned parents to be extra vigilant in regards to their children’s security and ensure they are reminded not to accept lifts from strangers.
