The Minister for Justice Charlie Flanagan has signed an order that will prevent outspoken US Pastor Steven Anderson from entering the country.

According to The Irish Examiner, the Justice Minister signed the order after a number of petitions were setup online.

It is understood Minister Flanagan decided to impose the order in the interests of public policy.

Pastor Anderson who was due to speak at an event later this month, is known to be a holocaust denier and controversially praised the gunman who killed 49 people at a gay nightclub in Florida, in 2016.
