Major mainstream media outlets and celebrities as well as some political organisations are stepping up attacks on Kanye West after the iconic rapper spoke out about threats, he received for daring to support Donald Trump.
Speaking to Fox News’ Tucker Carlson, Ye, as he is now known explained how powerful forces in the entertainment industry control the public views and expressions of celebrities such as himself.
“My so-called friends/handlers around me told me if I said that I liked Trump that my career would be over. That my life would be over,”
“They said stuff like people get killed for wearing a hat like that. They threatened my life,” he continued.
“They basically said that I would be killed for wearing the hat.”
The fashionista explained how he again received threats after he wore a shirt with the slogan “White Lives Matter” at a Paris fashion show.
“I had someone call me last night and said anybody wearing a ‘White Lives Matter’ shirt is going to be green-lit. That means they are going to beat them up if I wear it. I’m like, you know, ‘Okay, green light me then’.”
Ye has also spoke out about the Black Lives Matter movement calling it a scam.
Founders of the BLM movement have been exposed in recent months as using money they received to buy mansions in exclusive all-white neighbourhoods in Los Angeles while it was revealed that needy black families have received practically no financial help from the ostensibly Marxist organisation.
