Next week will mark the first anniversary of Karen Buckley’s death, and the memory of the 24-year-old Cork woman will be honored both here in Ireland and over in Scotland next Friday.
Father Joe O’Keefe will celebrate a special anniversary mass for Karen at her native Mourneabbey in north Cork.
A special memorial will also be held in Scotland, where Karen’s former Glasgow Caledonian University friends and classmates are expected to attend.
Karen’s murderer, 21-year-old Alexander Pacteau, is serving life in prison for the heinous crime.
