A number of areas in Cork city are hazardous or impassable this morning, after an overnight deluge.
AA Roadwatch advises motorists to avoid the following areas: Georges Quay, Union Quay, Wandesford Quay. South Terrace, Morrison’s Island, South Mall, Lapp’s Quay, Lower Glanmire Road, and the lower end of Oliver Plunkett Street
A status orange rainfall warning remains in place for Cork until 6am tomorrow morning.
Elsewhere, a status yellow wind warning is also in place for Galway, Mayo, Wexford, Kerry, Limerick, Tipperary and Waterford until 9pm this evening.
