Irishwoman Karen Buckley went missing four days ago after a night out in the Scottish city of Glasgow.
Last night, some human remains were found at farmland in the north area of the city.
Though formal identification has yet to take place, the Buckley family has been informed of the development.
Today, tributes have been pouring in for the young woman, who recently moved to Scotland from Cork.
A 21-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the case, and is currently being held by Glasgow police.
Update as of 17:20: The human remains found have been formally identified as Karen Buckley.
