Karma? Man loses several fingers as he allegedly attempted to break into a pub in Co Laois

In what is thought to have been an attempt to break into a pub, a man lost several of his fingers, reports The Mirror.

A man covered in blood was found laying outside a bar on the Killeshin Road in Co Laois on Sunday morning, shocking the residents. Unsettling photos and videos of the find reveal that the man had chopped his fingers and was seriously hurt.

After contacting emergency services, the man was taken to the hospital right away. It has now been revealed that the man may have tried a break-in at the bar and hurt himself badly, leading the gardai to think that he did so, reports The Mirror.

Officers will talk with the man when his medical condition improves. The Irish Mirror was informed by a Garda official that the incident is now being looked into. “Gardaí are looking into a burglary that occurred on Sunday, July 7, 2024, at 6:00 am at a business location in Killeshin, County Laois.

“No items were reported as stolen,” a Garda spokesperson said. “A male in his 20s was transferred to St. Luke’s Hospital, Kilkenny for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this incident to come forward,” reports The Mirror.
