Kind lady Alice Leahy spoke on the Late Late about her endless work with the homeless

Alice Leahy, the Director of Services of the Alice Leahy Trust was interviewed on last night’s Late Late Show.

The softly spoken lady spoke of her endless work with the homeless in Dublin city.

Alice was Co-Founder & Director of TRUST in 1975 and has been working as a nurse all her life. She spoke about how she’d take help homeless people by especially washing and addressing their feet.

She said people should imagine being homeless, walking around in runners and how your feet would be day in and day out.

Alice made a compelling case for a mass change in culture towards how people look at the homeless community and how they’re just people like everyone else and deserve to be treated as such with the same respect.

Alice’s new book “The stars are our only warmth” about her work with the homeless community and her life in general is out now.
