The goat that was being in a cage during the Puck Fair has been released.

According to RTE, the wild goat named King Puck was removed from the cage following serious concerns over its health in the hot weather.  King Puck acts as a symbol of the festival in Killorglin, County Kerry and the event returns to the county this year after having been cancelled since the pandemic.

King Puck was crowned on Wednesday by the Queen of Puck, Aleesha Williams and he is now being cared for in the shade and given plenty of drinks to keep him cool.
