A UK fashion magazine has managed to come up with their own unique way of predicting where British and Irish women will get pregnant next year.
Their philosophy is quite simple. We all know that women these days have work and family committments and thus are predominantly having children well into their late 30’s and even 40’s, but the ‘Closer’ magazine brand went back in time to get their results.
They took an average age of women getting pregnant to be around 30/31ish. Then then googled the most common names born. They then took the years 1985/86/87 and worked out all the most popular baby girl names of those years and compiled the below list. Again, although many many women are having children into the late 30’s and 40’s these days, statistically this science experiment is actually quite accurate according to leading London-based statisitician, Shane Hand:
“Their experiment might come across as being quite simple, but statistically it’s actually relatively accurate and there is a high probability that women with the names listed will actually get pregnant in 2016”.
