Large crowd observe a minutes silence to pay tribute to those who lost their lives in Paris at Grafton Street Christmas lights switching on ceremony

A large crowd gathered in Dublin’s Grafton Street this afternoon to observe a minutes silence to pay tribute to those who lost their lives in the recent Paris attacks.

The minutes silence held just before the start of the Christmas lighting ceremony, the move came after organisers had earlier announced earlier that the annual switching on ceremony would be preceded by a minute’s silence in mark of respect to the 129 people who tragically lost their lives on Friday night.
