A large group of protesters descended on Eyre Square, in Galway this afternoon in order voice their concerns over the homeless crisis within the city.
In a demonstration held by the Raise the Roof campaign a large group voiced their opinions over the problem of increasing property and rent prices in the city.
The protests come as there are currently over 4,000 people on the housing list in the city.
Following the demonstration protesters called for more to be done in order to tackle the ongoing issue which has seen the costs of running emergency accommodation rise from €25,000 to €250,000 per month.
