The Department of Health has said that they’re seriously concerned after the largest jump in coronavirus cases since May occurred on Saturday.
The department announced 200 further cases which is the largest number of cases in a single day since the start of May.
The total number of cases in Ireland now stands at 27,191.
Thankfully however, no further deaths were recorded leaving the number of coronavirus-related deaths remaining at 1,774.
It’s understood that the latest numbers show 103 are men and 96 are women. 68% are under 45 years of age.
