Many social media users are claiming that Micheal Martin and his cohorts are quite literally laughing at the electorate considering what transpired from the election results to this very day.
The new Taoiseach Micheal Martin has said that being elected into his position is the greatest honour any Irish person could ever hope for.
In a tweet following his confirmation, Mr Martin said he is humbled by the responsibility and he is looking forward to being part of the next Government.
Martin who will serve as Taoiseach for the next two and a half years has also pledged to “work night and day” with his partners in government in order to “realise the great potential of our nation”
