A Russian mother had the fright of her life after the son she thought dead, cremated, and buried turned up at her front door.
The woman, identified as 62-year-old Antonina Mikhailovna, had been called to the morgue by police four months ago, after her son Konstantin disappeared some days earlier. Antonina did identify the body shown as her son, and even went as far as organising a funeral ceremony and a cremation.
But four months later, Konstantin showed up at his mother’s home, very much alive.
When questioned about his disappearance, Konstantin said that he needed to ‘ponder the meaning of life.’
Antonina later apologized for wrongly identifying someone else’s body as her son. The cremated body was never claimed.
