Taoiseach Leo Varadkar has today confirmed that he’s willing to let Fianna Fail leader Micheal Martin have a go at the Taoiseach job the next time around.
Perhaps not so coincidentally, Micheal Martin yesterday said that he would be Taoiseach ‘within five years’, but seems he’s getting his go earlier.
And so does the familiar bipartisan turn-taking system of Irish politics go on in perpetuity.
