Police leading the operation to find Madeleine McCann have made a request for further funding to continue their investigations, it has been reported.
According to The Sun newspaper, lead detectives on the case have submitted an application calling for £300,000 in funding in order to continue their efforts to find Madeleine.
It is believed the request was made after funding for the case ran out on Sunday.
Although the British Home Office has yet to grant the application, The Sun say a decision is imminent and will be made at the end of the British financial year.
The latest request comes as a total of £11.75m has been spent on the investigation known as Operation Grange.
