The Irish Water tale of horror and woe rages on, with emerging news that Irish Water staff leaving the company will avail of substantial redundancy packages paid for by you and me.
The news come a day after it was announced that the company plans to shed 1,200 jobs over the next six years.
According to the utility’s managing director, John Tierney, the process of reducing staff numbers has already begun, but that it would be the Government’s (i.e., the taxpayer) to fund a redundancy programme.
