Thousands of leftists have rallied to attack Catholic churches in the Chilean capital of Santiago, and the Cathedrals of Parroquia de la Asuncion and Iglesia de San Francisco de Borja were both were looted and burned.
Members of violent Marxist groups in Chile, including Antifa in the country, attacked the churches to mark the one year anniversary of one-year anniversary of mass protests that left more than 30 dead and thousands injured, in protests against an increased cost of living and privatisation in the country.
