Luke Kelly, the red-haired legend who had a voice made from stone was featured in a documentary on RTE last night titled, Luke Kelly: Prince Of The City.
The programme which aired on RTE One saw how the Dublin icon was brought up in Dublin under harrowing conditions to his superstardom and worldwide fame known quite simply as one of Ireland’s best known and best loved musicians.
The programme chronicled Luke’s life right up to his untimely death at age 43 in 1984. Everyone from Glen Hansard to Ed Sheeran commented about the legend and how much he impacted on their career.
