Gardaí have said they begun a new operation which will tackle motorists who are currently driving without the correct tax and insurance.

They say the new Summer Enforcement Campaign is being carried out to clamp down those who are driving whilst without the official documentation.
It is understood the campaign has already yielded a number of vehicles were since it began yesterday.
