Legendary Hollywood actor Sidney Poitier has passed away aged 94.
His acting career spanned over seven decades, but he’s perhaps best remembered for his roles in In the heat of the night (1967) and Guess who’s coming to dinner (1967).
Poitier was the first Black actor to win the Best Actor Oscar, for his role in the 1963 movie Lilies of the field.
It is understood that he passed away from natural causes.
