Met Eireann is saying that the cold weather will continue throughout the weekend, with further wintry showers predicted for Saturday and Sunday.
According to the national forecaster, Saturday will see some bright periods mixed with showers, and temperatures reaching 7-8C at best, sinking to between 1-4C at night.
Sunday will start off mostly dry, but further rain showers will spread northeastwards during the afternoon and evening. Highest temperatures 7-11C.
