Leo Varadkar under major pressure as Sinn Fein pass Fine Gael in the polls

As we enter the last week of campaigning for Election 2020, the Taoiseach Leo Varadkar is under immense pressure after the latest opinion poll shows that Sinn Fein are doing better than Fine Gael with the public.

It’s still not yet known whether Mary Lou McDonald will be allowed take part in Tuesday night’s leaders’ debate which already has Micheal Martin and Varadkar participating.

The poll, conducted by Red C on behalf of the Sunday Business Post, indicates that Sinn Fein is two points ahead of Fine Gael, according to the Irish Mirror.

The main three parties are positioned as follows:

Sinn Fein -24%
Fianna Fail – 24%
Fine Gael – 21%

If Fine Gael to slump then it’s almost inevitable that Leo Varadkar will no longer be Taoiseach.

Would you like to see both Fianna Fail and Fine Gael annihilated at the polls and cease to exist as political entities at this election? Let us know.
