‘Let us know you’re safe’ concerned friends of missing Galway woman Margaret ‘Mags’ Berry desperately issue emotional appeal for her safe return




The friends of missing Galway woman Margaret ‘Mags’ Berry have renewed their appeals for her to return home safely.

Ms Berry aged 35 has not been seen since four days when she was last spotted in Galway City on Wednesday, February 3rd. ‘Mags’ is described as being 5 foot 3 with red/black hair, when she was last seen in the Salthill area, near Grattan Court, at approximately 4pm last Wednesday, ‘Mags’ was wearing a black with a hat and possibly a purple scarf.

One female friend told reporters: “All of her friends are very worried and we just want Mags to get in touch with someone and tell us she’s ok.” “Her friends and members of the public have been going out each day since Friday searching for her, hoping something will turn up. “Aside from a phone signal on Wednesday evening, there’s been no trace of her since.
The concerned friend added: “With the missing people that have turned up in recent weeks safe and sound, we’re hoping Mags will be the same.”

Meanwhile a Facebook appeal has been setup in recent days in the search for Mags, it has already gained more than a 1,000 followers, with many people expressing their wish for the 35-year-old’s safe return.

Gardai say anyone who may have seen Margaret (Mags) or who can assist in locating her is asked to contact Galway Garda Station on 091-1538000, The Garda Confidential Telephone Line 1800 666 111, or any Garda Station.
