One of the country’s leading supermarket chains has urged the public not to panic buy despite the change in Covid-19 restrictions.
In an announcement Lidl told customers that they will continue to operate as normal and urged people not to panic buy.
Posting the following Tweet Lidl said: “We’d like to put your minds at ease. Due to our robust supply chain, we’re confident of maintaining supply of key lines even as demand remains high. Our stores will receive daily deliveries as planned and we ask our customers not to panic buy.”
It is believed that Lidl’s comments come as it was suggested that the country could have moved to Level 5 restrictions following recommendations from NPHET.
However the Government have since confirmed that the country will be moving to Level 3 restrictions.
We’d like to put your minds at ease. Due to our robust supply chain, we’re confident of maintaining supply of key lines even as demand remains high. Our stores will receive daily deliveries as planned and we ask our customers not to panic buy.
