Lidl have confirmed that they are recalling two types of children’s biscuits.

It is understood the recall for Lupilu Organic Spelt Biscuits and Lupilu Organic Oat Biscuits, was issued over safety fears as the box label are not printed in English.

In an announcement on the Food Safety Authority Ireland website, Lidl said: “Lidl Ireland is recalling the above batches of its Lupilu Organic Spelt Biscuits and its Lupilu Organic Oat Biscuits as the ingredients are not labelled in English.

“The implicated batches contain cereals containing gluten.”

“There may also be an unintentional presence of egg, milk, nuts, peanuts, sesame and soybeans.

“This may make the batches unsafe for consumers who are allergic to or intolerant of cereals containing gluten, egg, milk, nuts, peanuts, sesame or soybeans.”
