Lifesaver Pothole: Man with rapid heartbeat saved after ambulance he was travelling in hit a pothole

We all know that potholes can be annoying whilst driving which makes us complain more often than not, but for one Nebraska man a bumpy road has turned out to be a lifesaver in a rather unusual way.

According to ABC News, a 59-year-old man was saved when his heartbeat returned to normal after the ambulance he was travelling in hit a pothole whilst en-route to hospital.

It believed that the man whose hearbeat was dangerously high at 200 beats per minute was saved by the massive joltĀ  which amazingly shocked his heart back into normal rhythm.

Although paramedics were stunned by the occurance, doctors have since revealed that such scenarios can restore a heartbeat, but they are rare.
