Disaster and embarrassing for Harris as it took until count FIFTEEN to see him re-elected
Could you imagine being the Minister for Health and taking 15 counts to be re-elected to the Dail – surely that says all you need to know about what the electorate thinks of your tenure in the Health Service.
Fine Gael’s Simon Harris went into the election under the cloud of the serious crisis of trolley queues and the general bad state of the health service which was under his remit as Minister for Health.
It remains to be seen if he will be Minister for Health in the new government, or if he’ll ever be a Minister again given he his absolute dismal record in Health over the last number of years.
