A five-year-old girl remains in critical condition in hospital after being attacked outside her school in Parnell Square, Dublin yesterday afternoon, reports RTE.
Two other children and the children’s caretaker were also injured in the stabbing.
A six-year-old girl is being treated for head injuries and is scheduled to undergo surgery, while a five-year-old boy, who suffered minor injuries, has already been released from hospital.
The child’s caretaker remains in hospital in critical condition, reports RTE.
The suspect in the attack was injured and remains in hospital.
At around 1.30pm yesterday, a group of young children lined up outside the school in Parnell Square East.
A man came and started attacking the children with a knife, reports RTE.
