#littlethings: Taoiseach Enda Kenny returns to Twitter after three year absence

In a rather unusual move the Taoiseach Enda Kenny has returned to Twitter. Mr Kenny has been absent from the social media network for the past three years. Upon his return to the popular social media network last night Mr Kenny surprised his followers by posting a message.

He said “Twitter, it’s been a while… but it’s time to talk about the #littlethings”

It is thought that Mr Kenny was referring to the Little Things Hub a social media mental health inititiative. Mr Kenny has been a member of twitter since April 2010 but stopped tweeting when he was elected Taoiseach. He is understood to have just over 20,000 followers.

However the move will surely come under strong criticism as many may feel that it is another promotional stunt by Fine Gael in order to appeal to potential voters for the upcoming election in just over a years time.
