Lockdown part 2? Holohan has left government buildings citing fears of Level 5




The Chief Medical Officer Tony Holohan has departed government buildings after relaying major concerns for the country as it moves into the last two months of the year.

Many believe that lockdown part 2 is en route with Level 5 restrictions imposed across the Irish public once more.

This evening, the Department of Health have confirmed 1,276 new Covid-19 cases in the past 24 hours.

In an announcement, the Department also confirmed 8 further deaths. It is understood that five of those deaths occurred in October, two in September and one in June.

The latest figures now brings the overall case total to 48,678. Meanwhile the overall death toll stands at 1,849.
