Hurricane Lorenzo is almost upon us, and though there’s still some uncertainty surrounding the exact path it might take -it may skirt just off the west coast-, Met Eireann is sufficiently concerned to issue some warnings to citizens around the country.
If the storm does track across Ireland, torrential rain and strong winds of over 100km/h are likely, so people are advised to avoid travelling unless strictly necessary.
Also, make sure to have extra supplies to last for a day or two, and have mobile phones topped up & charged, with emergency numbers handy, just in case.
