The National Lottery has confirmed that the winning ticket from last night’s EuroMillions draw was purchased in the Ulster region.

The jackpot totalled €17m and there was only one winning ticket, reports RTE.

The National Lottery said the ticket was bought at a retail outlet located in the Ulster region.

The winning numbers drawn were 07, 25, 30, 37 and 41, with lucky stars 05 and 11, reports RTE.

The National Lottery said it is urging players to check their tickets carefully.

Meanwhile, an online player based in Co Limerick secured the second-largest prize of the night after winning €500,000 in the EuroMillions Plus draw, reports RTE.

For that draw, the winning numbers were 11, 16, 31, 35 and 38.

In June last year, a EuroMillions player in Munster won €250m, the largest jackpot ever claimed in Ireland, reports RTE.

Dolores McNamara became Ireland’s first EuroMillions winner after collecting more than €115m in July 2005.

In June 2013, a Dublin-based player won over €93m as part of a shared jackpot worth more than €187m, while in July 2020 an online player claimed €49.5m with a €2.50 ticket, reports RTE.

A spokesperson for the National Lottery said: “We are absolutely thrilled to announce that an Irish player has won the €17m EuroMillions jackpot in last night’s draw.

“This is the second EuroMillions jackpot won in Ireland this year, following the historic €250m win in June.

“We’re encouraging all players to check their tickets very carefully. If you are the winner, sign the back of your ticket and keep it somewhere safe.”
