A woman in India has married herself in what is thought to be the first wedding of its type in the country.
According to the Metro, Kshama Bindu was not allowed to get married to herself in a temple as a political leader said that this would not be allowed due to the fact that “sologamy” is not endorsed through the Hindu religion.
24-year-old Bindu had to hold her wedding elsewhere but stuck to her belief that self-marriage means a promise to love and support yourself.
After the wedding, she is said to be travelling to Goa on honeymoon.
