The Luas row over pay and conditions is entering a bitter phase, as the trams’ operator, Transdev, announces plans to begin looking at legal options to deal with the strike.
Eight more days of strike are scheduled to go ahead during April and May. With no sign of agreement in sight, the row may well run into the summer months, potentially affecting on the tourism industry during peak season.
