Thursday morning’s commute in the capital is shaping up to be chaotic, as Luas trams will not move from their depots.
Drivers are staging another day of industrial action, in a long-running dispute over pay and conditions with no end in sight.
It was Transdev’s turn to walk away from the negotiating table this week, after drivers asked for a 26% pay rise. Three other non-driver grades accepted a pay deal of 13%.
Transdev also threatened to begin docking drivers’ pay if they continue engaging in industrial action.
Further stoppages are planned for 4 May, 13 May, 20 May, 26 May and 27 May.
