Joan Lawrie, mother of the tragic Lyra McKee, has passed away in a Belfast hospital, just weeks away from the first anniversary of her daughter’s death.
Ms. McKee died of a gunshot wound during a night of violence in Derry on April 18 last year. A 52-year-old man was later charged with her murder.
Ms. Lawrie’s cause of death has not been disclosed.
