Madeleine McCann case gets potential new lead as detectives investigating the case are now focusing on convicted German paedophile

Detectives from Britain and Portugal are currently investigating a convicted German paedophile in connection with the disappearance of Madeleine McCann.

According to Sky News, detectives have identified the man as one of two suspects who may have been involved with the three year old’s disappearance in Praia de Luiz 12 years ago.

It is believed that the man was brought to the attentions of lead investigators after German officials decided to inform them when he was on remand in Germany.

The man is thought to have been living in the area at the time of Madeleine’s disappearance in May 2007.

It is thought that the latest developments has now led to Portuguese authorities to receive more funding in order to continue their investigation in order to determine what happened to Madeleine.
